Horsepower Selection Guide
For Rolling Doors and Grilles

Notes:
(1) Use 24 GA limits for aluminum service door.
(2) GJ, SJ, and LJ operators not recommended for use on doors/grilles too large to be manually operated. (Use MG, H, or LH on doors requiring manual hoist chain.)
(3) LH or LJ operators are limited to 10 complete cycles per hour.
(4) This chart is intended as a guideline only. Doors and balance springs musts be in good operating condition and adjusted to manufacturers specifications.
(5) The chart is based on door travel of approximately 2/3 foot per second. Doors traveling in excess of 2/3 foot per second will require increased HP rating or decreased maximum sq. ft. rating.
(6) High cycle may require upgraded operator.
